Maria Metaweh is a fourth-year PhD student at Florida International University in the Department of Psychology. In 2018, she earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in the field of Biostatistics from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. In 2019, she was awarded the McKnight Doctoral Fellowship. Recently, she earned a second MS degree in the field of Clinical Science at Florida International University as well as the Delores Auzenne Fellowship. She also is a member of the NAFASI lab directed by Dr. Stacy Frazier. As an educator, she is passionate about mitigating the science-to-community and science-to-service gaps. The common thread and spirit of her work is in serving and empowering marginalized voices.
